First, an explanation, Navy Snipes are the members of the engineering crew aboard Naval ships.  This includes the Engine room, Fire room, Auxiliary, Electrical crews & other "Bilge Rats".  An explanation of the term Snipe as I know it appears <Here> This site is a presentation of the Navy ships and stations I served on as a Snipe during my Naval career from 1955 ~ 1975.

I invite all old shipmates and past crew of the ships in the "Ships Registry" to correspond.   I also invite anyone with an interest to exchange info on Fleet Tugs, Rescue Salvage Ships or other ships in the "Ships Registry" to drop a line.

Check the "Lost Shipmates" page and see if you or any one you might know is listed.

Finally I would   welcome anyone who served on Tugs, or Rescue Salvage Ships to look at the NAFTS (National Association Of Fleet Tug Sailors),  page and consider joining us!

Subgekt - Errers and Misteaks

This site has a few.  Admitted.  Restraint on the part of the reader from bringing any of them to the attention of the Snipe will undoubtedly lead to a more amicable relationship.
